ScannX

The library has two ScannX Book Scan Centers that can be used to scan pages of books or other documents.

To scan your items:

  • On the screen, press Touch here to begin
  • Choose where to send the item. Most often, you will want to send it to your W&J e-mail address.
  • Select your scan settings.
    • You can choose to scan in color, adjust the image quality, and choose a file type.
  • Once you have selected your scan settings, touch Next at the bottom right of the screen. 
  • Lift the scanner lid and place your item on the glass.
    • The left hand corner closest to you is where you will line up the item.
  • Once your items are on the scanner, press SCAN on the screen.
  • Once the scan completes, you will see the image on the screen and can adjust the crop.
  • If you want to scan more pages to have in the same file, put your next page on the scanner, and press scan.
  • After scanning all pages, press DELIVER. Enter your W&J e-mail address.
    • You can use the button that says @washjeff.edu to enter that at the end of your username and not type it in.
  • Press SEND. 
    • The item will transfer.
  • A box will ask if you want to exit or scan more.
    • If you are done, press EXIT.
    • If you need to scan more items in a different file, press SCAN MORE.
