Library Equipment & Technology

The Library has several laptops that can be loaned on a short-term basis. You can choose to borrow it for up to 7 days. 

As a borrower of the Library Owned Laptop: 

• The borrower will inspect the equipment at the time of checkout and confirm proper working order. 
• The borrower will reimburse the College for the reasonable cost of repairs, parts, or replacement due to damage or loss of equipment occurring while in the borrower's possession. 
• The borrower will cooperate in filing and processing appropriate insurance claims with the College's insurers. 
• The equipment cannot be used in violation of the law or of the College's policies. 
• The Library is not responsible for data left on the equipment. 
• The Library is not responsible for damage to personal devices during checkout or the loss of data that may occur due to malfunctioning hardware or software. 

The Library will loan the laptop for a duration of one (1) week (7 days).

Any or all privileges may be denied to people who abuse equipment, repeatedly return equipment late, or in any way limit access to other individuals at the College. 

Returns: The laptop and charging cable must be returned to the User Services Desk no later than the time indicated on the booking, and in as good condition as when received, except for normal wear and tear. 

Charges: Replacement cost of $750.

The college has received a limited number of laptops that are available for long-term use by students with financial need.
