The Guardian is a British daily newspaper. Along with its sister papers, The Observer and The Guardian Weekly, the Guardian is part of the Guardian Media Group, owned by the Scott Trust.
Contains full-text articles and images in the New York Times from 1851 to the present on the nytimes.com website.
Access to articles from 1923 to 1980 is limited to five per day, any other time frame provides unlimited article access.
The New York Times is a great resource for current events as well finding out how historical events were covered or received at the time they happened.

Access to the NY Times through the website is different from access through the Proquest database. It will not have the indexing and filters that you find in the database but it covers a larger period of time and gives you access to images.
The New Yorker is a weekly magazine featuring journalism, commentary, criticism, essays, fiction, satire, cartoons, and poetry. Note: The New Yorker's pieces lean liberal, so be aware of that bias.

Buzzfeed News is an international news organization associated with the popular media site, Buzzfeed. Buzzfeed News is the 2021 Pulitzer Prize-Winner in International Reporting. They excel in coverage of international events, as well as pop culture.
CNN is an American news-based pay television channel owned by CNN Worldwide, a unit of the WarnerMedia News & Sports division of AT&T's WarnerMedia. CNN was founded in 1980 by American media proprietor Ted Turner as a 24-hour cable news channel. Note: CNN's more opinion-style articles and pieces tend to lean liberal, so be aware of that bias.
National Public Radio is an America's public news outlet. It is a publicly and privately funded non-profit media organization based in Washington, D.C. with local partners around the country.
The PBS NewsHour is a nightly news broadcast hosted by Washington D.C.'s PBS station. PBS is the U.S's public television station. The NewsHour's website has a mix of articles and videos about breaking news around the world.
