Per Professor Drew-Bear's instructions for your second writing assignment, you must choose, "...an article in a scholarly or credible publication source."
Try searching some of the suggested publications below or start with the Library's Discovery Tool to find an appropriate article.
If you've tried searching Discovery and are having a hard time finding something specific to your topic, it may be helpful to try a subject specific database. You can do that by going to our Databases A-Z tool, and then using the "All Subjects" drop-down to choose a subject. This will display a list of sources that cover that subject and you can search them individually. If you search this way, remember that you'll need to search in more than one database to make sure that you're finding sources from different publications and different perspectives.
Below is a limited list of more substantial newspapers and magazines that may be helpful in your research.
If you find an article that you believe will be useful for your research and it is behind a paywall, please submit a request for the article via Interlibrary Loan. You can complete the ILL form here: http://libguides.washjeff.edu/ill
Articles are scanned and shared as PDFs. Typically you'll receive your article within 48 hours and then the PDF is yours to keep. There is no charge for ILL requests and no limit to how many requests you can make.
Need help? Just ask! Librarians can typically determine whether or not we have full-text access to an article very quickly. If we don't have it, we'll help you complete the ILL form.
