The Clark Family Library is organized using the Library of Congress (LC) classification system. This system allows for books to be arranged by topic. So once you find one book that is helpful for your topic, make sure you look at the books on the shelves above and below to see if you can find other items that will be helpful to you.
Please watch this video for help interpreting LC call numbers. If you need help locating a book in our library, any member of our staff can assist you.
Our library provides access to hundreds of thousands of books both physical copies in our library and ebooks that are accessible through our website. Ebooks can be accessed 24/7 through the library's website. Physical books can be requested through our discovery service and picked up in the library.
To check out a book or any item from the library, present the item and tap your W&J ID or mobile credentials at the front desk. Books are checked out to students for the length of the semester. Your due date will be stamped in the book and you'll receive an e-mail receipt of your items checked out and the due dates. Visit the front desk or call at (724) 222-6070 with any questions about borrowing.
In addition to browsing the stacks on our lower level, you can also use our Discovery service to locate items and place requests to pick them up. Watch the video below for information on how to manage your library account.
