Welcome

Welcome, ENG 400 students! Congrats on reaching this point in your college career! This research guide is full of resources to help you navigate the research process as you complete your capstones.

The Research Process

As you all know, research is more than just searching for an answer and reporting that answer. It's an iterative process of asking questions, understanding how others have approached similar questions, and eventually drawing your own conclusions on what you believe the answer to be. Your capstone is an opportunity to really dive into this process, demonstrate your writing skills, and engage with the scholarly community in a more in depth way than you may have previously. If this feels overwhelming, don't be afraid to ask for help from a librarian or Dr. Shiller!
