Options for course reserve

There are two options when using course reserve:

In-house Reserves

  • Materials are available at the User Services Desk with limited access based on Library-hours and assigned loan period.
  • Students must present their College ID to borrow these materials.
  • This option is best suited for:
    • entire books
    • entire journals / magazines
    • audio-visual equipment (digital recorders)
    • audio visual materials (DVDs, VHS, CDs)

Electronic Reserves (E-reserves)

  • Access to these digital materials is freely available via the Library's website.
  • Faculty will provide only students enrolled in their course with a password to the materials. (One password per course.)
  • This option is best suited for:
    • an individual book chapter
    • individual journal / magazine articles
    • stand-alone images / photographs
    • course specific materials (syllabus, answer keys, instructor-created materials)
