Library Digital Classroom (LDC)

What's available

  • Computers and seating for 24
  • Professor lectern with computer
  • Overhead projector (permanent mount)
  • Whiteboard
  • Printer and wifi

Things to consider

  • The LDC is available for faculty, staff, and campus groups for reservation. 
  • Reservations are required to guarantee availability.
  • The LDC is used as a computer lab when it is not reserved.
  • Projector, remote, and white board supplies are available for check-out at the user services desk.
  • Signs indicating LDC use for the day are posted on the lower level glass doors and outside of the LDC.
  • The LDC is available during open Library hours.  No early or late reservations are permitted. When planning take into consideration that the lower level closes 15 minutes early.

Reserve a space in the library

  • LDC reservations are handled through the R25 Room Scheduler.
    • All reservations are approved within 24 hrs, or the morning of the next business day by Maureen Valentine, Director of Conferences and Events (mvalentine@washjeff.edu, 724-503-1001, Ext. 6511).  If you need immediate assistance reserving the LDC only, please contact Rachael Bolden (rbolden@washjeff.edu, 724-223-6071).
  • For Walker Room reservations, please contact Rachael Bolden (rbolden@washjeff.edu, 724-223-6071).

 

R25 Room Reservation Directions

R25: Making a Room Reservation Request

  1. Open R25 Room Scheduler.  You will automatically view the events of the current day.
  2. Select ‘My Requests’ in the top left of the navigation bar. You will be prompted to log in. Use your W&J username/password to log into the R25 Room Scheduling application.
  3. Complete as much information about the event as possible. The required fields for completion are indicated in red type.  The Library Digital Classroom is "LDC" in the Specific Space field.
  4. When finished, click the ‘Next’ button. You will be directed to your Event Reservation Summary. NOTE: this is NOT a confirmation screen. This screen summarizes the choices made in the request; your event request has not been processed. If everything in the summary is correct, click the ‘Submit Request’ button.
  5. Otherwise, click the ‘Make Changes’ button to return to the previous screen. Do not use the ‘Back’ button or you will lose all of the event information on the form.
  6. A confirmation of your request will be sent to you via email. Check the My Requests | Pending Requests or the My Requests | Approved for the status of your request.
